Optimization of Filling Process of Magnesium Alloy Bottom Cover

摘要 为研究复杂结构镁合金压铸件充型过程的卷气问题,采用Anycasting软件对复杂结构镁合金铸件的充型过程进行了数值仿真。分析了压铸过程金属液的流动行为,并判断充型过程产生卷气的原因。基于仿真结果,提出了优化的压铸工艺,即通过改变浇口数量以及充型角度来改变金属液的充型顺序。采用优化的压铸工艺,能够有效地避免部分卷气的产生,获得了较为理想的充型效果。 Filling process of magnesium alloy bottom cover with complicated structure was simulated by the Anycasting software to understand entrapment-gas defects in the die castings. The flow behavior of melt during die casting process was visualized to analyze the formation mechanism of entrapment-gas defects. Based on the simulated results, the process was optimized. The filling sequence of melt was modified by decreasing numbers of gate and adjusting filling angle. Through applying optimized design, entrapment-gas can be eliminated effectively, obtaining a desirable filling effect.
