In the past decades, orthopedic sports medicine has witnessed a dramatic growth in China, mainly attributed to the rapid development of molecular biology, biomechanics, transplantation biology, medical imaging, rehabilitation and minimally invasive surgery, including the introduction of advanced techniques and instruments. Development in diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries has greatly improved the clinical outcomes and patients' life quality, and made incomparable contribution to the development of Chinese Olympians and promotion of nationwide sports.
