摘要
随着全球化程度的加深和中国国际地位的提升,中西文化交流呈现出新的文化态势,中国典籍文化越来越受到西方读者的青睐,中国典籍英译也自然成为其他国家了解中国典籍文化的有效渠道。谁来译?如何译?就成为典籍英译工作所要解决的核心问题。文章还通过实例探讨了"传神达意"原则对中国文化籍英译的指导意义。
With the advancement of globalization and the promotion of China＇s international identity,there comes a new cultural trend in the Sino-west cultural communication-Chinese cultural classics are gradually catching the attention of the Western readers,and English translation of the Chinese cultural classics has necessarily become an effective tunnel for them to know Chinese classics.However,questions such as ＂who can be the qualified translators？＂ and ＂how to conduct the translation？＂ are key issues put before the translators of English translation of Chinese Classics.The paper also illustrates the significance of ＂spirit transmission and meaning conveyance＂ principle to English translation of Chinese cultural classics.
