摘要
术语翻译是一个涉及多学科的问题,也是术语建设的一个前沿性话题。讨论术语翻译,首先应该关注术语的约定属性。在翻译实践中,应该区别对待已经标准化的术语与未经标准化的术语。对于前者而言,第一位的是要遵守已有约定,即颁布的标准。至于后者,可以考虑相约一些统一的措施。本文提出"不译法"、"试译法"、"定义法"、"连缀法"等4种类似体例的约定。
Terminology translation is an issue involving multi-disciplines and also a frontier topic in terminology construction. When discussing term translation, the most important thing is to be concerned with the conventionality of the term. In translation prac- tice, different treatment should be made regarding the standardized terminology and non-standardized terminology. For the previ- ous category, the top priority is to keep the conventions, namely the published standards. As for the latter category, a few meas- ures of norm agreement may be considered. This paper discusses the conventionality relating to four stylish rules like ＂Un-transla- ting method＂, ＂Tentative translating method＂, ＂Definition method＂ and ＂Clustering method＂.
