摘要 本文以电光效应光波导移频器的研制为目的,分析了该器件原理,在综合考虑光波导和电极的情况下,求解移频器耦合波方程,由此对移频效率及边频抑制等问题进行讨论并进行最佳设计。用 T_i 内扩散工艺制做了器件,并对其移频性能进行了测量。 In this paper,the technique of optical frequency translation by a rotating electric field in a trigonal electrooptic crystal has beert adopted to a indiffused strip waveguide structure.We first analyse the principle of the technique and solve the coupled-wave equations of the translator taking both waveguide and electrodes into consideration. After analyzing the transfer charaeteristics and the elimination of spurious sidebands, we give optimum design.Finally,the fabrication and characteristics of optical wave- guide frequency translators are presented.
