Vortex street flowmeter was one of the most important implements of flow measuring in modern petroleum ＆ chemical industry. The measuring principle and primary excellence of vortex street flowmeter was introduced, and di- rective suggestion about the selection, installation, application and maintenance were proposed. Through standard design, reasonable selection, the correct installation and maintenance, vortex street flowmeter played a bigger role in petroleum ＆ chemical industry.
