摘要
以《大地》三部曲中文版为例,探讨西人撰写的中国作品中人物话语的翻译问题。翻译不仅要译文正确,还要反映出作品中语者的社会地方特征和时代风貌,以达到真正的"信"。这是翻译的更高境界。
After an examination of the translated version of the trilogy of The Good Earth Pearl Buck, this paper explores the translation problems of the conversations in the Chinese stories by the Westerners, where the identification of the speakers is largely ignored. The paper maintains that while keeping the original meaning, translation must also retain the local social features and the customs of the times in which the characters live so as to reach the faithfulness in the real sense.
