摘要
以Talmy提出的运动事件框架及词汇化模式类型学理论为基础,探讨英汉方式运动动词和路径运动动词的共性和差异。英汉方式运动动词的共性表现为:英汉之间存在许多表达相同语义范畴的方式运动动词;差异表现为,汉语方式运动动词的数量没有英语丰富,在表达运动方式时,英语采用综合式表达法,而汉语常常使用分析式表达法。英汉路径运动动词的共性也表现为英汉之间存在许多表达相同语义范畴的路径动词,但二者的用法存在差异。
Based on Talmy＇s theory of motion-event frame and lexicalization pattern typology,this paper discusses the similarities and differences of manner motion verbs and path motion verbs in English and Chinese.It is founded that many manner verbs express the similar semantic domains between English and Chinese.The difference in manner verbs between them is that manner verbs in Chinese are not as diversified as those in English.English uses comprehensive expression method for expressing motion manner,while Chinese applies analytical expression method for showing diversified motion manners in English.In spite of the similarity in semantic domains,path motion verbs in English have many differences in usage from path verbs in Chinese.
