摘要
运动动词是所有英语动词中最具动词特征的词。对运动动词的研究有利于揭示语言的本质和人类认知奥秘。本文基于Talmy提出的运动事件框架及词汇化模式类型学理论,探讨英语和汉语中运动动词和路径运动动词的共性和差异。
Motion verbs are the most characteristically verbal of all the verbs.The study on them can reveal language nature and human cognitive mystery.Based on Talmy's theory of motion-event frame and lexicalization pattern typology,this paper discusses the similarities and differences of manner motion verbs and path motion verbs in English and Chinese.
