摘要
语言学界对Grice的合作概念认识不一,原因在于对合作与目标概念的理解有偏差及对合作层次的阐释不系统。文章梳理了学界对合作层次的解读,评判其成败得失,以期能够使问题明晰化。结果表明,Grice对合作的定义也比较模糊,他不是在一个意义上使用合作概念,合作具有不同的层次或类型是Grice合作概念的应有之义。
Quarrels on Grice＇ s notion of cooperative principle have never ceased. The underlying reason lies in the lack of a clear and systemic classification of, and the disagreement on, the levels or types of cooperation. Compari- sons and evaluations are made in this study to show their respective strong points and weak points, with pros and cons offered. The notion cooperation is not employed by Grice in a sole and distinct sense. The study shows that different types or levels co-exist in the notion of cooperation.
