摘要
中印两大文明之间的关系超越了人类所有文明之间的关系,其交汇融合以及相互影响是人类其他不同文明所不可及的。由中印文明交流引申出来的中印关系的分期问题值得深入考察。本文认为,中印关系的分期不应只以中国的列朝历代为参照,而应兼顾中印双方的历史发展,从关系内质出发,遵从现代学术的通用规则,与时俱进,以西历时间为分期点进行探析。由此,本文尝试从文明交流内容和中印自身历史发展进程出发,对中印关系的交流史展开深入论述,并认为,将中印关系分为七个时期更为合理。
In terms of their confluence and mutual impact, the relations between the two major civilizations of China and India have surpassed all other inter-civilizational relations in human history. Identification of the periods in the Sino-India relation in their historical exchanges becomes a subject worthy of thorough exploration. This paper argues that identification of the relational periods should not only entail a consideration of China＇s dynastic changes but also of the historical developments of both countries. Clearly, it is necessary to adopt the Gregorian calendar time for making this identification, in view of the nature of the relations and common practice in academics. So this paper sets out to consider the exchanges going between the two countries, as well as their respective historical processes. And it proceeds to have an in-depth discussion of the bilateral exchanges and then concludes that it makes a greater sense to divide Sino-Indian relations into seven periods.
