摘要
地理信息系统是一门应用性很强的综合性学科。自６０年代以来，它在全球范围内得到了广泛的重视，无论在系统理论，研究方法还是在应用系统等方面都有着飞速的发展。该文综述了地理信息系统在国内外的发展和研究的情况，并在此基础上结合计算机技术的当前发展对地理信息系统的未来进行了展望。
Since 1960s,Geographic Information System (GIS),a new applied synthetical subject,has been widely taken full account of.Its basic system theory,research methods and applications has been rapidly developed.This paper discusses the current development and its research at home and abroad.On this base,We look to the prospect of GIS in consideration of the development Of computer science and technology today.
