The expert system and its relationship with the neural network are introduced. The testing, evaluation and control of SMT solder joints are discussed. The application of expert system based on neural network to the evaluation and quality control of SMT solder joints is summarized, and the development trend of quality control techniques of SMT solder joints in the future is presented.
