摘要
在自然界,刺激贫乏是普遍存在的,是不言而喻的道理。语言刺激是贫乏的,甚至是缺乏的。大量句法、音系和形态证据,尤其是由基因导向的语法规则的结构依赖性表明,刺激贫乏是儿童语言习得过程中的自然现象,语言不是学会的。各种反对刺激贫乏论的观点,误解了刺激贫乏论及其内在逻辑,低估了语言的复杂性,也缺乏有效的、严肃的理由。
In Mother Nature,poverty of the stimulus is a ubiquitous truism,so the linguistic stimulus are also poor or even absent.Mounting syntactic,semantic,phonological and morphological evidence,especially the structure dependence of grammatical rules with genetic guidance,suggests that poverty of the stimulus is a natural phenomenon in the course of children's language acquisition,and that language is not learned because it is unlearnable.It is argued that viewpoints against the Argument from Poverty of the Stimulus generally misunderstand the Argument from Poverty of the Stimulus and its innate logic,underestimate the complexity of language,and are lacking in valid and serious evidence.
