摘要
开展应用型高等教育，培养应用型人才是从精英教育的一元结构向大众化教育的多元结构转变带来的新任务和新挑战。顺应社会的需要，培养应用型人才成为社会赋予高等教育的历史使命，是适应社会经济发展的需要，是满足人们生产生活．的需要，也是高等教育可持续发展的需要。
Developing applied higher education and cultivating application-oriented talents are a new challenge brought about by the transformation from the single structure of elite education to the diversified structure of mass education. Cultivating application-oriented talents is a historic mission of higher education. It is the demand to adapt to the social economic growth, the demand to satisfy people＇s life and work, and also the demand to maintain the sustainable development of higher education.
