Objective To observe the effect of Thl cells in the early stage of non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice and evaluate their contributions to the onset of diabetes. Methods Female NOD mice of 4, 8 and 16 weeks were chosen. Thl cells were detected in spleen by flow cytometer. Then the distribudo^of Thl cells was analyzed in pancreas by IHC. Results Thl cells frequency was increased gradually from 4 to 16 weeks in both spleen and pancreas. Conclusions Thl cells may be take part in the onset of diabetes in the early stage of NOD
