摘要
本研究以某大学30名非英语专业学生为研究对象,通过使用RANGE,AntConc,GoTagger和SPSS等软件,从词汇多样性、词汇复杂性、词汇密度和词汇错误四个维度,对词汇丰富性在写作中的发展变化特点及其与写作质量间的关系进行了动态跟踪研究。研究结果表明,随着英语学习的深入,学生写作中词汇的多样性、复杂性和密度都在稳步增长。在词汇错误方面,随着学习者英语水平的提高,词汇错误在不断减少,但拼写方面一直存在问题;就词汇丰富性和写作质量的关系而言,词汇多样性、词汇复杂性和词汇密度与写作质量均呈正相关,词汇错误与写作质量呈负相关。
This longitudinal study investigates,by using RANGE,AntConc,GoTagger and SPSS,the developmental features of lexical richness in English writings by 30 university non-English majors and their relationships with the writing quality from the perspectives of lexical variation,lexical sophistication,lexical density,and lexical errors.The results demonstrate that as the participants' English level rises,there has been a steady increase in lexical variation,lexical sophistication and lexical density.Meanwhile,they make fewer lexical errors as they make progress,but spelling errors remain the most serious.With regard to the relationship between lexical richness and writing quality,lexical variation,lexical sophistication and lexical density are positively correlated with the writing quality whereas there is a negative correlation between the number of lexical errors and the writing quality.
