首先介绍了ＡＤＳ电子地图子系统的开发模式、系统数据流图、空间对象的存储结构。然后介绍了该系统特有的空间索引技术──扩展型网格索引。该索引机制可以支持对地形图的查询，并具有高精度和快速的特点。
First, the development mde, system data flow diagram and the storage structure of spatial objects f(lr ADS digital map subsystem are mentioned. Then the paper introduce a spatial index^xtended grid index, which is especially designed for the system and can support the query for topographic map, precise and fast retrieval.
