摘要
基于生产者最优决策的空间集聚模型的分析表明,低工资成本和低运输成本是出口贸易的重要成因。同时,出口增长又能促进出口企业的空间集聚并产生规模效应,反过来进一步使出口产品价格下降、出口规模扩大和空间集聚产生自我强化,最终带动城市经济和人口规模的持续扩张。本文通过对开放型经济发展较好的深圳、珠海、汕头、东莞和苏州等沿海开放城市的低工资水平、出口规模增长和城市规模扩张之间的Granger因果检验和动态面板分析,结果支持了理论模型的分析结论。
We set up a model of spatial agglomeration based on the optimal decision of producer. Theoretic model reveals that the low cost of wages and transportation is an important driving force of export trade. Export increase can promote the spa- tial agglomeration of export enterprises, and it will make scale effects. This further results in the price decrease of final export products, and export increase, and spatial agglomeration strengthened by itself. In the end this will bring about the sustained growth of urban economy and total population. We also analyze the relationships among the extent of low-wage, the growth of to- tal exports value and the growth of urban scale based on Granger causality tests and dynamic panel data model in some cities in coastal areas, such as Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Dongwan and Suzhou. The results of empirical research support the conclu sions of the theoretic model.
