摘要
翻译生态学和翻译伦理学之间既有共性也有差异性,这使得两种理论在对译者定位方面既有相同之处也有不同之处,相同之处体现在两种理论论述的都是职业译者,都认为译者受翻译环境的制约,都认为译者处于翻译活动的中心,译文是译者权衡选择的产物。不同之处体现在两种理论从不同视角论述职业译者,此外,在译者受翻译环境制约的程度、译者与翻译"诸者"的关系以及译文的产出方式上两种理论也持不同的观点。
Translation ecology and translation ethics have differences as well as similarities, which in turn lead to the similarities and differences between their explorations of the translator＇s status. The similari ties lie in that both theories elaborate on professional translators and both argue that the translator is at the center of a translating activity; the two theories also hold that the translator＇s activity is restricted by the environment in which the translating activity takes place and that the translation is the final product of the translator＇s weighing and balancing. The differences are in that the two theories elaborate the transla tor＇s status from different perspectives and hold different viewpoints on the degree to which the translator is confined by the translating environment, on the relationship between the translator and other agents in his translating activity, and on how the final translation is produced.
