摘要
As lifelong learning rises in China, the citizens are getting more and more aware of its importance. Nevertheless, it is also undoubtedly true that lots of theoretical and practical problems likely to hinder the popularization and deepening of lifelong learning are to be solved. With the Times of Knowledge Edonomy as the background, this essay puts forward several problems on the concept of developing lifelong education, as well as the practical problems of adult learning in distance education environment, within the domain of lifelong learning. Although solutions to these problems might have been found in other developed countries, it is a necessity and must to advance them in developing countries, especially in such a country as China, which has a huge education market. These problems are the following:\;__the necessity of developing lifelong learning;\;__the concept to meet the requirement of lifelong learning;\;__Distance learning is an effective way of lifelong learning.\;__Entrance examination should be canceled in adult education.\;__the combination of multi-media teaching measures;\;__the management of the progress of distance learning;\;__the features of examinations of distance learing.
