Based on a survey of oversea Chinese students in Thailand, evidences are founded to support the fact that the major and social origin of students have impacts on their academic failures.Lt has also indicate that there is gender difference on academic failure, which is related to their majors and their father's occupation.Gender difference gets bigger in Thai language majors, and sons of petty entrepreneur are more frequently to fail courses while daughters of petty entrepreneur are among the least possible to fail courses.Gender roles could play a part behind these significant interaction effects.
