Role of interleukin-33 in pathogenesis of bronchial asthma

摘要 白介素33(IL-33)是IL-1细胞因子家族的一个新成员,它作为ST2的配体发挥其生物效应。IL-33能够诱导Th2型细胞因子的表达并且对多种炎症细胞均能发挥效应。越来越多的证据证实IL-33在支气管哮喘的发病机制中起到重要的介导作用,有望成为支气管哮喘治疗的一个新的靶点。 Interleukin-33 (IL-33) is a novel member of IL-1 cytokine family, which mediates itsbiological effects as a ligand for ST2. IL-33 induces expression of Th2 cytokines and has a variety of effects on inflammatory cells. Growing evidence suggests that IL-33 plays a crucial role in the pathogenesisof bronchial asthma. As such, it is hoped that IL-33 will be a novel therapeutic target for bronchial asthma.
