摘要
加强社会问责、强化教育质量保障已成为世界高等教育发展的一个趋势。通过解读《保障高等教育的质量和效率:评估实践的分析》一书,着重介绍了为什么需要进行系统层次的评估、运用什么方法来评估教育提供者和鉴定学生、怎样选择评估模式等高等教育评估领域长期困扰人们的问题,为借鉴美国高等教育评估经验﹑推动我国高等教育评估的有效开展提供了一条很好的路径。
It has become a trend of the world higher education development to strengthen accountability and education quality assurance. By interpreting the book “Ensuring Quality and Productivity of Higher Education ： An Analysis of Assessment Practice”, the thesis mainly introduces such topics as why system-level assessment is needed, what approaches are used to assess higher education providers and certify students and how to choose a model to assess the providers, which have perplexed those who devotes themselves to higher education assessment, in the hope of providing a good way to draw on the experience of US higher education assessment practice and thus to promote the similar work of China.
