摘要
目前,高职院校英语课堂普遍存在着消极沉默现象,课堂气氛过于沉闷。大多数学生在课堂活动中表现得相当被动,面对教师的提问三缄其口,沉默不语,这严重影响了学生自身英语应用能力的提高。本文试图分析造成高职院校英语课堂沉默现象的原因以及从教师提问这一角度探讨应对的措施和方法,以打破沉默,促进课堂交流,提高学生的英语应用能力。
At present,there is a universal phenomenon that higher vocational college students keep silent in EFL class.Most of the students are quite passive in class activities.Facing teacher's questions,a lot of students choose to be silent and refuse to talk.In order to break the ice,promote class communication and improve students' English application,the paper tries to analyze the causes for the silence in higher vocational college EFL class and seek for the solutions to the problem from the perspective of teacher's question-raising.
