摘要
报道了湖南省桑植县及天平山自然保护区的蝶类，包括１０ 科共１８７ 种，区系分析结果表明，桑植县及天平山蝶类资源属于东洋区系范畴，蝶类垂直分布亦为东洋区种类占优势．
The present paper is divided into four parts:the first part gives an introduction to natural circumstances of Sangzhi county and Tianping mountain (110°06″E,29°24″N) in Hunan province;the second part is about 10 families,187 species identified and catalogue of butterflies;the third part discusses the insect fauna of 187 species of butterflies through insect fauna analysis,and the insect fauna of both Sangzhi county and Tianping mountain are characterized by the following feature:zoogeographically analyzed components of Oriental Region predominate generally by a percentage of 41%;the fourth part also deals with the butterflies and its vertical distribution in Sangzhi county and Tianping mountain.There are three natural zones in these areas:hilly agriculture forestry zone at an elevation of less than 800 meters;evergreen broadleaf forest zone with highland at an elevation of 800~1 300 meters;evergreen deciduous broadleaf forest zone with highland at an elevation of 1 300~1 890 meters.Butterflies vertical distribution is comparativelly simple that components of Oriental Region predominate in the above three natural zones. Finally,the causes of this type of distribution are also presented.
