The characteristics and applications of common heavy duty anticorrosion coatings have been described and some new types of coatings are recommended such as flake glass coating, solvent-free polyurethane coating and fluororesin coating. The trends to develop the heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings is to improve the application performance of the coating and to develop high-build and low pollution coatings.
