摘要
就我国城市交通系统的现状以及存在的问题，提出交通系统必须走可持续发展道路，才能适应不断增长的交通需要，讨论了交通系统可持续发展的内涵与属性，分析了智能运输系统在实现城市交通系统可持续发展中的重要地位及推动作用．
By examing the current state and existing problems of urban traffic system in China, it concludes that only to carry out the sustainable development strategy in urban traffic system can be suited to the traffic growth. The implication and property of sustainable development of urban traffic system are discussed. The important status and impulse function of Intelligent Transportation System to the sustainable development of urban traffic system have also been analyzed.
