摘要
长期以来人们一直认为硼仅是植物必需的微量元素, 但近年来的研究证明, 硼可能也是动物和人的必需营养素, 其证据涉及硼对矿物质和电介质、能量底物、氮、活性氧类等代谢以及红血球生成和血细胞生成的影响。许多发现提示, 硼缺乏损伤钙代谢、能量代谢、脑功能和免疫功能, 硼也有助于预防炎症性疾病。急性和慢性毒理观察表明, 人体摄入1 g 硼酸/d (2-5mg B/kg/d ) 不会产生任何毒性症状; 慢性有害作用水平为5 mg/kg/d ; 婴儿对高硼的响应不比成人更灵敏。成人的日允许摄取量为18 mg B/d 或0-3 mg B/kg/d , 最低营养需要量为0-25 ~0-35 mgB/d 。本文从硼的生物学作用研究简史、植物研究的启示、硼对动物的营养必需性、硼对人的营养必需性及硼的人体健康效应等五个方面综述了硼的生物必需性及人体健康效应。
Boron is an essential nutrient for humans.The evidences are involved in life process such as macromineral,electrolyte,energy substrate,nitrogen,reactive oxygen species metabolism,erythropoiesis and hematopoiesis.Many of the findings indicated that boron deprivation impairs energy substrate metabolism,bone structure and function,brain function and perhaps immune function.Boron may help prevent inflammatory disease.Dose-response information from acute and chronic effects showed that no-effect level for humans can be established at about 1 g of boric acid per day(2 5 mg B/kg/d).The chronic adverse effect level is 5 0 mg B/kg/d.Infant response at high levels is not more sensitive than the human adult.Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI)of 18 mg B/d for a 60 kg woman or 0 3 mg B/kg/d has been estimated.An analysis on both human and animal data suggest that an apparent deficient boron intake is <0 3 mg/kg for chick or rat,and 0 25~0 35 mg/d for human.The biological essentiality of boron and the health effects on humans were reviewed from the aspects of a brief history of biological effects study of boron,enlightenment of plant studies,the nutritional essentiality of boron for animals,the nutritional essentiality of boron for human,and the health effect of boron in humans.
