摘要
从世界高等教育发展史论述高等学校教育及其高校图书馆社会服务的必要性和必然性,指出地方高校图书馆由于学校行政隶属和地域特点,社会服务尤为重要;近年来,一批地方高校图书馆获得社会服务和自身发展的双赢,广州大学图书馆是其中一个具有示范意义的成功个案。
This paper discusses the necessity and inevitability of social services in the university library from the history of world higher education.Social services is particularly important for the local university library because of the characteristics of school administration and the geographical feature.Recent years,a group of local university libraries succeed not only in social services but also in self-development.Guangzhou University Library is one of the exemplary case of success.
