摘要
省略法是英汉翻译过程中一种常用方法。译者在抓住原文基本精神的前提下,运用省略法,可以将译文的语言表达得更为精练、准确、流畅。省略法有自己的规律,它是一种有章可循的、实用的翻译方法。本文作者结合自己从事的音乐专业英语翻译教学工作,阐述了省略法的实用性。
Omission is a very common method in the process of English-Chinese translation.On the premise of grasping the spirit of the original text,translators can make the version more refined,more exact and smoother by using omission method.It has its own regulations to abide by and it is a very practical translating approach.This author represents the utility of omission by connecting her own teaching practice with the translating theory.
