Objective:To study the differents in brain functional connectivity between heroin dependent patients and normal controls at conscious resting state. Methods:Using fMRI,we investigated the brain functional connecticity in 16 heroin-dependented patients and 16 matched normal controls. We selected the amaygdala as seed. Results:Compared with controls, the heroin addicts had significant(P〈0.005) decreased brain functional connectivity between amygdala and some brain regions, including bilateral cingulate gyrus, bilateral anterior cingulate and right brodmann area 24.Conclusion:This study shows that there are abnormal functional connectivity in heroin dependent patients. These functional deficiencies may be correlated with occurrence and maintenance of addiction behaviors.
