摘要
从语面结构和语底结构两方面介绍了歇后语的结构,并从语义功能的角度,在概念、表达、指示、酬应、美学五个方面对歇后语的应用进行了描述,认为概念功能是用经验或逻辑来揭示事物的内在联系,表达功能是用来表达思想、抒发情感的,指示功能是把语言和某些语境构成要素联系起来的功能,酬应功能是一种交际功能,而美学功能更多地是为了取得某种修辞效果,使语言的表达更加生动形象。
Chinese two-part allegorical sayings arc one of the traditional languages that are widely used in our daily life. It is a Chinese unique language full of intelligence and fun.Owning to their special form and style, they can create humor, and make the language lively and interesting. The British linguist G. Leech proposed five functions of language： ideational, expressive, referential, interpersonal and aesthetic functions. This paper attempts to analyze the semantic functions of Chinese two-part allegorical sayings from these aspects.
