摘要
解读译本副文本可以获知译本生成的历史细节与译本接受的传播语境。考察《三国演义》罗慕士译本副文本后发现:中外出版社和研究组织提供的翻译机会和经费支持,保障了译者翻译活动的顺利进行和罗译本的出版发行;译本质量得益于译者与中外编校人员的合力,而知识渊博的校对者在提高译本质量方面的作用尤其不可忽视;具有"中国通"或汉学家身份的作序者与评论者起到了权威的导读和独特的推介作用,促进了译本的接受与传播。
An interpretation of the paratexts of a translated book finds the historical details in which the book has come into being and the spreading environment in which the book has been received.This paper has conducted a probe into some typical paratexts of Three Kingdoms translated by Moss Roberts,and has founded that the translator＇s translation and the publish of the book have been guaranteed by the publishing houses and other academic organizations both in China and in USA;the quality of the translator＇s work has been a success of the joint efforts of the editors both in China and in USA,in which the hard working of the knowledgeable proofreaders should not slightly be ignored;and the spread and receiving of the translated version of Three Kingdoms in the English world has owed much to the authoritative and unique introduction by the preface writer and the book reviewers who all have profound knowledge of China and Chinese language and culture.
