摘要
概述了光纤通信技术最新进展趋向，包括密集波分多路，非零色散移位光纤，光电子集成端机，光纤放大器与半导体光放大器，光插分复接器，光纤连至住家和全光通信网等主要技术。文末附有总结和欧洲光纤通信会议有关报告文献。
The paper briefly describes the new trends of optical fiber communication technology,including the dense wavelength division multiplex,non zero dispersion shift fiber,optoelectronic integrated terminals,fiber amplifier and semiconductor optical amplifier,optical add drop multiplexer,fiber to the home,all optical network,and others.At the end of paper,concluding remarks on future prospects are presented.A list of selected papers of ECOC'98 is annexed.
