摘要
崖州扁豆（AmphicarpaeatrispermaBakerexJackson）是植株矮小的半缠绕性草本豆科作物，分布在海南西南部沿海地区，为海南特有的农家品种。崖州扁豆叶片具有敏感的感光性膨压运动特性，能够调节叶面水分蒸腾强度，根系发达，根瘤丰富，种子萌发迅速，这些性状使其具有较强的抗旱、耐瘠和抗病虫草害的能力。崖州扁豆播种后不需管理，100d后可收获。崖州扁豆种子是一种高蛋白低脂肪的保健食品，其茎蔓可作为饲料或绿肥。发展崖州扁豆生产，可以充分利用海南西南部秋冬旱季土地。崖州扁豆的多项特殊性状可能是常规育种和基因工程育种时优良材料。
The Yazhou Hyacinth Beau (YZHB ) (Amphicarpaea trisperma Baker ex Jackson), an indigenous cultivar distributing in the coastal areas in the southwest ofHainan Island, is a small send-climbing herbaceous crop. It can control the transpiration of leaves by the way of adjusting the orientation of leaflets towards the sunlight through the sensitive photonastic turgor movement of the leaves. Its root systemis well developed with a mass of nodules and its seeds germinate fast, within 2-5days after Sowing. The plant is highly tolerant to drought, poor soil and weed encroaclment, and resistant to diseases and pests. The crop can be harvested in winter or next spring oher about 100 days of sowing. Its beau is a healthy food containing high Protein and less fat, and its stalk is a good source for fodder orgreen manure.Growing YZHB is a good way to improve land utilization in the southwest of Hainan Island during the dry season of autumn and winter. The plant ispossibly a good material for both conventional and bioengineering-based breeding.
