摘要
介绍了KTP晶体电光开关的设计;利用体式LiNbO3晶体、KD*P晶体和KTP晶体做了光开关(斩波)实验。在开关脉冲宽度120ns~1200ns,升降沿5ns的情况下,实验证实LiNbO3晶体开关过程伴有严重的压电耦合振铃结构,不能做为体式光开关工作;而KTP开关的综合性能是最好的。
The paper presents the design of a crystal KTP electo opic switch,and demonstrates the linear electro optic effect and the piezoelectric coupling effect of crystals.Under the condition of switching pulsewidth of 120ns 1200ns and leading and trailing edges of 5ns.experiments performed with bulky LiNbO 3 crystal,KD P crystal and KTP crystal for optical switching verified the KTP crystal gives the best comprehensive performance,while LiNbO 3 crystal shows serious piezoelectric coupled ringing structure,therefore,it can not be utilized as bulky optical switch.
