摘要
马来酸氢十六酯(HHM)是一种长碳链酯晶体,晶面间距2d=5.85nm,对软X射线有很好的衍射性能。它在苯和甲苯溶剂中表现很好的结晶性,增大溶剂的极性时明显地不利于HHM的结晶。以甲苯为溶剂,采用溶液降温法生长HHM单晶,控制晶体生长温度为32℃,降温速度为0.02℃/d,籽晶转速为6r/min,经过约2周的生长时间,可以生长出30mm×16mm×1mm的透明单晶体。HHM分子极易形成双分子缔合体,缔合体上由2个羧基组成的局域平面有利于分子的有序排列。
Hexadecly hydrogen meleate(HHM) is an organic molecular crystal
with a long chain of carbon atoms.It has large interplanar spacing (2 d =5.85nm) and very high
diffraction intensity in irradiation of soft X rays. It shows a very good crystallization habit in
solvent of benzene and toluene.It is very clear that increased solvent polarity will not beneficial
to HHM's crystallization.The HHM single crystals were grown by the solution dropping
temperature method. The growing conditions are:growing temperature 32 ℃,dropping
temperature rate 0.02 ℃ /day and revolving seed crystal at a speed of six revolution per
minute. Over two weeks a crystal of dimensions 30 mm×16 mm×1 mm was obtained. HHM
moleculars tend to form dimers via intermolecular hydrogen bonding between carboxyl groups
and the atoms of the two carboxyl are arranged nearly in planes which favors orderly pack of
molecular.This is why HHM shows better crystallization than any other esters with long chain of
carbon atoms.
