摘要
由曾骥良教授于1996年用水热法合成的红宝石晶体以六方双锥n{2243}单形最发育,其次为平行双面c{0001}和菱面体r{1011}。合成红宝石的密度、折射率、双折射率特征与天然红宝石接近,微量元素种类和浓度影响合成红宝石的吸收光谱、荧光强弱、颜色和水头。借助于晶体的生长纹、籽晶片、黑色文字状包裹体、针状、细纱网状、指纹状包裹体和氧化铝粉末等特征包裹体组合,可与天然红宝石。
Hydro-thermal synthetic rubies produced by professor Zhen Jiliang at Guilin Crystal Company in 1996 have close similarities to natural rubies with regard to the density, refractive and double refractive indexes. The synthetic ruby crystals have formed much more n {2243} monotypes than c {0001} and r {1011} ones. The kinds and amounts of trace elements have some effects on absorbing spectrum, fluorescence intensity, color and transparency of hydro-thermal synthetic rubies. Irregular crystal growth grains, color zonings, seed crystals, needle-like inclusions, wisp-veil like inclusions and the powder containing aluminum oxide can help identify natural rubies from hydro-thermal synthetic rubies, flame fusion rubies and fluid-grown rubies.
