Gestures,Perspectives and Positions:Notes on Overseas Reportage and Studies on Contemporary Chinese Architecture and Urbanism in Recent 10 Years

摘要文章试图回顾主要涌现于近10年的境外媒体对当代中国建筑的持续并且越来越多的关注,这些关注主要以一种新闻报道的形式展现在我们面前。与此同时,与当代中国建筑有关的学术研究性著作也不断出现,文章通过对这些报道和研究中所透露出来的视角与姿态的解读和分析,试图揭示出与之相关的几个侧面,并最终思考,我们如何通过这些报道去理解自己和他人,以及如何寻求和保持建立在理解基础上的批判性介入。 This article aims to retrospect the continuing,even rising attention from the overseas media on contemporary Chinese Architecture and Urbanism during the last ten years,mainly in the way of journalist reportage,accompanied with the emerging scholarly writings.By reviewing and analyzing the gestures and positions revealed in those writings and discourse,the authors attempt to unfold this topic via relevant aspects,therefore raise a proposal on how to build up a better understanding concerning both ourselves and others,as well as a critical intervention based on this understanding.
