摘要
文章对图书馆作者发表的论文,进行了被引次数与下载频次的比较分析,发现面向同行的学术探讨性论文,获得了高的被引频次;而基于服务职能、面向用户的指导性论文,获得了较高的下载量,但二者间没有显著的相关性。认为下载量可在一定程度上反映论文对于用户的贡献即应用价值,应该作为考量论文质量的标准之一;对下载量所揭示的用户需求,应该充分重视,鼓励服务导向的研究。
We have analyzed the top papers by download and citations published between 2000 and 2009 by librarians.It was found that library academic-oriented papers got much more citations and user service-oriented papers got high number of their Internet downloads.There is no significant correlation between Download and citations.Analysis of this comparison suggests that download frequency can reveal not only the paper's application value-its contributions to users,but also information of which papers are most interesting to the readers.So it should be an alternative metrics of paper quality and impact.User service-oriented study should be encouraged in the library.
