摘要
章开沅先生对近代中国历史的研究,广摄各个领域,思想领域亦为相当突出的一部分。他不仅探索了大时代与大思潮的关系,而且探讨了时代变迁中思想者的心态演变,还探究了近代思想的当代意义。这些研究体现了章先生对思想与时代关系——时代需要思想、时代产生思想,思想反映时代、思想推进时代——的深邃洞察,更体现了章先生一以贯之的史家风范:唯实,高远,鲜活。
Mr. Zhang Kai-yuan＇ s research on modern Chinese history covers various fields, including the ideological realm. He explores not only the relationship between the ＂thinking＂ and the ＂Times＂, the psychological changes of the thinkers, but also the contemporary significance of modern thoughts. These studies reflect the deep insight of Mr. Zhang into the relationship between the thinking and the times and also show a consistent style of the historian： real, lofty, and fresh.
