Relations between immune activation and CD4 T helper cells death in HIV infection

摘要 HIV感染后的最主要特征是CD4辅助性T细胞减少和获得性免疫缺陷.研究表明,病毒感染在CD4细胞减少中的作用有限,未感染的CD4细胞死亡才是HIV导致CD4细胞减少的主要因为.在此过程中,免疫系统活化与CD4细胞杀伤和疾病的进展有着非常高的相关性.在HIV感染中,长期非特异性的高水平免疫活化可能是HIV杀死免疫细胞的主要因为,但由于缺乏合适的体内试验模型.至今没有直接证据证明它们之间的因果关系.近年来,人源化小鼠模型的建立为解决这一难题提供了一个新的体内研究平台;HIV基因治疗技术亦取得了一定的进展,在研究HIV的致病机制及临床应用方面有着广泛的应用前景. The symptoms of AIDS are primary the decreased number of CD4 T helper cells and the deficiency of acquired immunity.Reports indicate that the decrease of CD4 T helper cells are due to the death of uninfected CD4 T cells instead of HIV-infected CD4 T cells.In HIV infection,the immune activation correlates with the killing of CD4 T cells and the progression of AIDS,which suggests the long-term immune activation may he attributed to the death of im-mune cells.But there is no direct evidence to prove this hypothesis due to the lack of good model to study HIV.In recent years,humanized mice and gene therapy have been established as new promising tools to study the mechanism of HIV in-fection,which would provide us clues to clinical treatment.
