摘要
大学文化的基本特性是对大学文化共性特征的科学概括,是每一所大学建立鲜明个性特征的基础,是大学能够维持自己基本特性的核心价值体系。大学文化的基本特性体现在五个方面:大学文化是以精神文化为核心的整体性文化;大学文化是以高深学术为基础的高层次文化;大学文化是以学术自由为前提的创造性文化;大学文化是以自治自律为特征的自主性文化;大学文化是以人文品格为标志的涵养型文化。在不同的时代、不同的国家,大学在适应社会发展的过程中发展着、变化着,但它却始终维护着自身知识权威的地位,不断地继承着所有这些发展变化过程中积淀的优秀文化传统,在继承和坚守中丰富和发展着自己的文化特性与行为准则。
This paper believes that the basic features of university culture can be expressed in five aspects. It is eternity culture regarding spirit culture as its basis~ It is high level culture based on learned academy~ It is creative culture regarding academic freedom as its prerequisite~ It is autonomous culture with self-disciplined feature; It is self-restrained culture with symbol of humanity character. At different time and in different countries, the universities have adapted themselves to the social development, however, they have been staying their situation of knowledge authority, and have inherited and continued their unique culture.
