摘要
林湄作为海外华文女作家,其创作虽然也同样具有着新移民文学的共性,即强烈的"自我性",但更重要的意义却在于她对这种"自我性"的超越上。林湄的这种对"自我性"的超越,主要体现在她的后一阶段:前一阶段,林湄主要从自身的经历出发,着重于女性问题的探索;后一阶段,林湄的视野明显拓宽,能有意识地联系跨文化经验,思考中西文化关系的交流变化,探寻与人类普世价值相关联的若干问题,从而展示出一种全新的创作风貌。
As an overseas Chinese woman writer,Lin Mei has transcended the 'self-consciousness' in her writing in recent years.In the light of her trans-cultural experience,Lin Mei has not only been thinking the changing of cultural relations between Chinese and Western,but also been searching for some laws about universal measure of value of mankind.Thus,this has been showing a new writing style and features for her.
