摘要
将流体湍流流动计算技术和自由表面处理技术应用于液态金属充型过程数值模拟计算,并与层流计算和标准重力浇注试验进行对比表明,湍流与层流计算在自由表面进展方面差别不大,但在计算域内速度矢量分布上存在明显差别。考虑湍流作用更接近实际铸造过程,有助于提高大中型重力铸件充型过程数值模拟计算精度。
Abstract The calculation technique of turbulence flow and the treatment technique of free surface for fluid have been used for the numerical simulation of mold filling process of molten metal and it is also compared with the laminar flow calculation.The calculation results for modeling a standard gravity cast test revealed that there was negligible difference in the evolution of free surface between the two methods,but apparent distinction existed in the distribution of velocity vectors of fluid flow in the calculation field.So the accuracy of numerical simulation of mold filling on medium or heavy gravity castings will be improved if the turbulence flow effect is taken into account.
