摘要
"新教育"是"五四"时期以留学欧美的知识分子为主导力量,以提倡和实践教育民主化、教育科学化为基本内容的教育实践活动。"新教育"实验提高了当时中国的教育认识和实践水平,推动了中国教育的现代化进程。由于教育自身和教育外部环境所存在的问题,"新教育"的前景自然不容乐观。"五四"时期,中国教育界试图从教育和社会两个方面,来探寻使"新教育"走出困境的路径。
"New education" was the educational practice in which intellectuals studying abroad in Europe and the United States played the leading role in promoting and practicing the democratization and scientification of education in the "May 4^th" Period. "New education" raised the level of understanding and practice of education and pushed forward the modernization of education in China. However, due to the problems existing in education itself and the external environment of education, the prospects of "new education" were not brilliant enough. During the "May 4^th" period, the Chinese educational community, tried to find the way out for "new education" in both education and society.
