摘要
综述了多种材质光纤的进展。重点阐述掺锗石英光纤可以满足高速传输信息的要求,必然是高速信息网络的传输骨干。锗在其中不可忽缺。
The advance of various materials used for optical fibres was summarized. Excellent performances of doping germanium quartz optical fibres which can satisfy the requirement of transmission of high velocity information were emphatically described. Optical fibres are a transmission backbone of high velocity information network. The important role of germanium not allow to be ignored.
