Germination inhibitors are the substances made by plants that inhibite the seeds from sprouting and growing. It has been indicated by studies on them that they exist extensively in vegatable kingdom. The inhibitors found include many kinds of compounds such as orgamic acids, phenols, unsaturated endoesters and so on. It is very important to promote researches on the fundmental theories, and to develop the practical technology of agriculture by studying of germination inhibitors.
