摘要
20世纪20年代,由精英知识分子发起推行的新文化和新文学运动,其先进思想和艺术理念并没有全然进入中国电影制作领域。当时国产电影的生成基础是旧文化与旧文学,其观众主体的构成主要成分是城市中的下层民众,因此,这一时期的中国电影也可以被称为旧市民电影,从内在品质和外在形式上都具有通俗性、娱乐性和大众性,即低俗性的整体特征。
The New Culture Movement and modern literary thought started by elite intellectuals formed the mainstream culture in the 1920s. Its progressive thoughts and art ideas, however, did not influence Chinese film production immediately. The base of Chinese films at that time was old culture and literature, whose audience consisted of lower class citizens. Therefore, Chinese film in the 1920s was referred as old citizen film, whose features and forms were attached with populace labels, which indicated they were popular with and entertain populace.
